Hi there, Jim.
Lola and the Saints are well worth an article.
We had a great time listening to & watching you.
I’m sorry I didn’t get to stick around and meet everyone. Maybe next time. We had to pick up our Grandson at work, and he had already waited an hour for us.
On stage you all seem bigger than life, but in person you’re all just highly talented, normal people.
You all handled the broken mike very well, but it sounded much better in the second half.
Thank you for an entertaining show!
Sally

Hi J

Just a quick note we loved the performance. It was great. Each n every performer has their own personality, it's hard to pick a favorite.

I wanted to stay for meet n greet in lobby, but one of friends wasn't feeling well so left right after the show.

Again thanks for the tickets n we plan to go again.

Regards,

Janice K

Hi Lola...Thanks so much for thinking of us. Another twenty two inches of that white
stuff in the past two days. Cleared our walkway but the snow is so high, there is
no where else to put it. Then to make matters worse, the streets are one mess.
I'm on a main Blvd. and only a single line of cars can pass at a time. The side streets
forget it. Then tonight another six inches or so is due. I can't reach the top of the
mounds when I'm shoveling. The temperature right now is 5 degrees. That's warm
compared with the past two days. Anyway Jan I are doing just fine. We just got back
from clearing the car off. We're parked several blocks away. Maybe I'll leave it where
it is until June.
Thanks so much for your e-mail Lola. We're doing ok and staying warm. Hope you
guys are doing well. Thanks again and have a wonderful day.

Love ya
Bob

Thanks to you and the Saints I am now a hero in the eyes of my neighbors. As you know we had sixteen of us at yesterday's concert and every one of them loved it. Barb and I had to leave a bit early to hold our reservation for dinner so I missed "Over the Brooklyn Bridge" which I really like.
Give me a call whenever you have a little time and we'll have lunch again.

Jim McGreevey, baritone with the Doo Wop group Lola and the Saints, remembers a TV show from the 1990s called “Brooklyn Bridge“ about a Jewish American family living in Brooklyn in the 1950s.
It only ran for two years, but McGreevey never forgot it or its theme song, “Just Over the Brooklyn Bridge,“ sung by Art Garfunkel.
“About 10 years ago when I came to Florida, the first doo wop group I joined was called Boomerz, out of Tampa,“ McGreevey said. “We recorded a CD in 2005, and one day in the recording studio I sang the theme song that was only one minute long, and the group loved it so much that the sound engineer put a keyboard behind it and we recorded it.“
Several years later, a radio DJ in New England heard the song and started to play it on his radio show, “Doo Wop Café.“ His audience loved it, but they began asking, “Why is it so short? Where’s the rest of it?“
McGreevey, then with Lola and the Saints, sat down and added more lyrics and turned it into a three-minute song. He took it to the group and they loved it. Tom Foy, one of the founding members of the group, created musical and vocal arrangement for the song and they recorded it.
“Next, I created a video behind the song of all nostalgic Brooklyn scenes and put the video on YouTube,“ he said.
That was in 2009. They have since reached more than 134,000 views and counting, at the rate of about 100 a day.
McGreevey said the song and especially the video bring back great memories for people who grew up in New York and New Jersey.
“We sing it at all our shows,“ he said. “People love it.“
Lola and the Saints will perform from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at West Port High School Performing Arts Center, 3733 Southwest 80th Ave., Ocala. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., with proceeds benefiting TLC Transition Life Center.

HELLO PRECIOUS FRIENDS:
YOU KNOW THAT JOANIE AND I WILL BE THERE WITH OUR DAUGHTER AND FRIENDS.
WILL LET YOU KNOW FOR SURE AS SOON AS I KNOW MORE,
BY THE WAY, YOU GUYS KICKED SOME 'ASS" AT THE RECENT CONCERT IN Lecanto. YOU WERE 100% MORE ENTERTAINING THAN THE OTHER GROUP.THEY TALKED HALF THEIR PERFORMANCE AND SANG JUST PARTS OF A FEW SONGS.
PS: AS YOU CAN SEE, I AM HAVING TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS WITH MY COMPUTER PROBLEMS. THE TYPE IS SO SMALL OTHERWISE, IT TAKES A MAGNIFYING GLASS TO READ THE BODY OF MY EMAILS SENT. THE GEEKS ARE WORKING ON THIS AS I TYPE.
I HAVE TO ALSO TELL YOU; THERE ARE SOME OF YOUR SONGS LIKE "OUTSIDE LOOKING IN" WHERE YOU PUT SO MUCH FEELING, LOVE, EMOTION FROM YOUR HEART , THAT WONDERFUL IS THE ONLY WORD I KNOW TO DESCRIBE WHAT I FEEL WHEN YOU SING!
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

Had a terrific time seeing old friends Lola Buto-Foy, Tom Foy , Tony, Jim and Jerry (Lola And The Saints) perform at Curtis Petersen Ctr up in Lecanto, Fl recently. They get tighter and more entertaining each time I see them. Lola was at her best. Their renditions of "I'm So Hurt", "At Last", "Outside Looking In" and "Don't Say Goodnight", blew me away.
